So there's a college course called "Words and Images." You use words to talk about the importance of images. That's pretty much the one thing images can't do--provide busywork for 3 credits. Anyway, I wrote a short sample essay for this class.
IMAGES ARE IMPORTANT
By Greg
Images are important. They are very valuable. One image is worth 1,000 (one thousand) words. It is the gold of the propaganda world. We could not live without images. Do you know what movies are? Movies are moving images. If we did not have images, we would not have movies. And without movies, what would we do? Exercise? Read books? Without movies, what would we adapt books into? Radio broadcasts? You can't even take good pictures of those. Stage plays? Where would we go from there, back to a book? Then we'd just have a self-reflexive product on self-reflexivity. This isn't Nine or something. In conclusion, images are important.
