Ithaca Live Blog Part 2

7:00 PM: The bell tower is playing bell Coldplay. It's bell annoying.

7:07 PM: There's a kid riding a unicycle around, and he's not doing it to be funny. This is as close as Cornell gets to having panhandlers.

7:11 PM: I'm pretty sure I keep running into the same eight people. It's like an Asian version of the Truman Show.

8:00 PM: Free skatin' at this place. I go around counterclockwise for a while. One of the Captain Awesome-o skaters loses an edge and crashes into the boards. It's the best thing since sliced bread.

10:06 PM: Cornell has a suspension bridge on campus, but not this one. D'aw.

11:11 PM: Somebody doesn't believe I know how to play Uno because I'm not Ivy League. I shout "uno!" every turn out of spite until I'm asked to leave.

SUNDAY

10:45 AM: The movie theater on the edge of campus is showing Red Cliff. Supposedly Black Dynamite was up last weekend.

12:02 AM: Cornell's basketball team at the dining hall doesn't really stand out that much.

3:00 PM: The Cornell women's hockey team takes on Clarkson for the ECAC Championship, or something like that. They win in overtime, 4-3. There's something about going to overtime when I attend things. It's just like that Buffalo Wild Wings commercial.

3:01 PM: Pitt's band beats out Cornell's for the top spot in the power rankings.

5:02 PM: THERE ISN'T A QUIZNOS IN ITHACA GET ME OUT OF HERE

6:42 PM: I see a cat get run over. It wasn't the cute kitten from yesterday, though, so relax.

7:55 PM: In a pretty cool coincidence, the other two people at the Ithaca Greyhound station are Carnegie Mellon students who visited a friend at Cornell and are now returning home to Western New York. The mild sense of community I get from this is broken only by thinking about Sandra Bullock.
